Preliminary Events Outline

The organizing committees have more-or-less finished the big details. The conference site is secured, the guest speaker confirmed, and a block of rooms reserved for participants. Registration is underway, and information for vendors and about potential travel subsidies will be available soon.

Our next step is to start to work on the details. Here is how the long weekend is shaping up so far.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING– Registration, 4-7pm, welcoming remarks & opening ritual 7pm, followed by social activities.
SATURDAY AM – Guest speaker, Kerr Cuhulain
SATURDAY AFTERNOON – Academic stream and general panels
SATURDAY EVENING – To be determined
SUNDAY – Panels and workshops, music stream.
SUNDAY EVENING - Banquet and entertainment
MONDAY MORNING –AGM, elections, choosing the 2009 host city, and closing ritual.

The Vancouver team is currently looking at options for entertainment and panel discussion topics. Watch this spot for more details.
